Reporting Allegations of Non-Compliance or Animal Care Concerns

DePaul University is committed to an animal care and use program that is compliant with the PHS Policy, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, the Animal Welfare Act, and the USDA regulations (when applicable). In order to be compliant, DePaul must have a mechanism for anyone to report allegations of non-compliance or Animal Care and Use or welfare concerns. If you would like to report an allegation of non-compliance or an animal welfare concern you may contact the IACUC Chair, any member of the IACUC, the Institutional Official (IO), or the Research Protections staff in the Office of Research Services.

Whenever possible, concerns should be submitted in written form (i.e. email or a letter sent to campus or USPS mail). All reports or allegations are kept confidential. Any written documentation of reported concerns is stripped of all identifying information before dissemination and review, and individuals reporting concerns are protected against reprisals, as required under the Animal Welfare Act Regulations.

When reporting concerns or non-compliance, please include your name and contact information so that the IACUC can obtain additional information, when needed.
