Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2023 Remembrance Event
On January 17, 2023, we celebrated Black History Month and welcomed Jahmal Cole, CEO, and Founder of My Block, My Hood, My City as the keynote speaker for the 26th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. event.
Mr. Cole gave an impassioned talk about his road to advocacy and activism and the trials he faced along the way. The talk concluded with a question and answer period where audience members asked about Mr. Cole's experiences. He left the audience with valuable advice on how to become an activist.
