The Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program (URAP) creates a unique environment in which faculty members share their passion for mentoring and engaging undergraduate students in their pursuit of research, scholarship, and creative activities. This program has a dual purpose:
1) To provide valuable learning opportunities and financial assistance to undergraduates by creating opportunities for students to assist and collaborate with faculty members who conduct research projects and are engaged in creative and scholarly activities.
2) To offer support to faculty engaged in the above activities consistent with the university's belief and commitment to the pursuit of knowledge.
Interested faculty and students can apply together for the URAP program twice per year (Fall and Spring) using the specific deadlines set by each College.
URAP Guidelines.pdf provides a detailed description of this initiative and includes the programs’ forms (please note that the faculty application and the student application must be filed together).
