 Teach Abroad Opportunities
Through the Office of Curriculum Internationalization

Are you a faculty member interested in sharing your expertise at an international partner institution?

The Curriculum Internationalization (CI) team is collecting opportunities for faculty to teach abroad throughout the year and we are eager to add interested and energetic faculty to our list.

The CI team has international partners in many regions of the world, some of whom are looking to host international faculty members to teach short term: for a few weeks up to a few months.

Opportunities are open to faculty from a variety of disciplines in regions such as India, Mexico, Pakistan, and Malaysia. While most opportunities are in person and require travel, we also have an opportunity to teach virtually.

Email ci@depaul.edu to explore short-term options and start your next academic adventure.

Through Fulbright US Scholar and Fulbright Specialist Awards

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to teach, conduct research, or participate in a professional project in a different country?

Every year, over a thousand US scholars and staff go abroad as recipients of Fulbright US Scholar and Fulbright Specialist Awards, and numerous DePaul community members have received these awards over the years.

To support your application, Scott Bucking, Associate Professor of History, Fulbright alumnus, and DePaul’s Faculty and Professional Staff Fulbright Liaison, is available for consultation. He will host two upcoming information sessions in late May and early June, to share advice on these great opportunities for personal and professional growth. These sessions are open to all faculty (tenure-track, tenured, term, adjunct, and emeriti) and professional staff. Details are listed below.

  • Friday, May 29th, 2026, 12:00 - 2:00 PM (Central Time) via Zoom (RSVP to Kate Gorveatte, kgorveat@depaul.edu by Wednesday, May 27th).

  • Friday, June 5th, 2026, 12:00 - 2:00 PM (Central Time) via Zoom (RSVP to Kate Gorveatte, kgorveat@depaul.ed by Wednesday, June 3rd).
