Vincent
The Vincentian Studies Institute of the United States, founded in 1979, was sponsored until July 2007 by the ten provinces of the Congregation of the Mission (the Vincentians) and the Daughters of Charity in the United States. The Institute is now sponsored by DePaul University as part of the university’s Division of Mission and Ministry.

The Institute’s mission is to promote a living interest in the historical, spiritual, and charitable heritage of the Vincentian Family under the patronage of Saint Vincent de Paul (1581-1660) and Saint Louise de Marillac (1591-1660). The Division of Mission and Ministry has collected, published, or developed a wide range of material that helps promote a living interested in Vincentian heritage.

The Vincentian Studies Institute publishes two editions of the Vincentian Heritage Journal per year in addition to monographs. All Things Vincentian is a compilation of various new media resources including audio recordings, videos, images, and quotes. In partnership with the Catholic Studies Department, staff in the Division of Mission and Ministry offer undergraduate courses in Vincentian Heritage throughout the academic year. In addition to Vincentian Heritage resources, there are also a number of other online resources useful for understanding DePaul’s Catholic identity.
