Thriving Initiatives

As articulated in Designing DePaul, the Thriving Initiatives and Framework represents a university-wide commitment to fostering holistic well-being, academic and social success, and a sense of belonging—cultivating environments where everyone can thrive. We ground our work in these key principles of Catholic Social Teaching and Vincentian personalism, and operationalize them through inclusive structures and shared responsibility, to move forward together as a flourishing DePaul community.

Our new Thriving Initiatives will, in part, build off the success achieved by our former Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) task force, Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) task force, and Black Equity Initiative (BEI).
