Jewish Faculty Staff Alliance

DePaul’s Jewish Faculty Staff Alliance (JFSA) exists to support Jewish faculty and staff at the university. We support equity and inclusion of the Jewish community at DePaul. The group aims to foster community, be an advocate for the needs of Jewish individuals, and mentor students and learners.

Community building

  • JFSA will create spaces for people to gather around Jewish identities and interests.
  • JFSA will develop and maintain a visible presence on campus through events and communication.
  • JFSA will be a recognized Employee Resource Group

Advocacy

  • JFSA will work with DePaul’s administration to create a campus climate of inclusion and belonging for Jewish persons
  • JFSA will facilitate communication among faculty and staff around workplace issues of concern to Jewish individuals.
  • JFSA will develop and maintain relationships with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity, Division of Mission & Ministry, Jewish Life Center, and other relevant offices.
  • JFSA will stand against antisemitism on campus and in the DePaul community
  • JFSA will partner with similar advocacy organizations around the state and the country such as StandWithUs, Anti-Defamation League, and Stand Up To Jewish Hate.
