Minister Jené A. Colvin joined the Division of Mission of Ministry full-time in 2019. She serves as Protestant Christian Chaplain on the Religious Diversity and Pastoral Care team, providing spiritual accompaniment, guidance, pastoral care, and a variety of programming for students at DePaul. Min. Jené served for over three years at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL, as the Administrative Coordinator for Community Engagement & Transformation (organizing and coordinating conferences, major events, and community partnerships) and in various other congregational care capacities. She holds a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary. She is a member of the Inaugural Prophetic Preaching Lab Cohort (Organized by Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, III in partnership with Auburn Theological Seminary), a former Forum for Theological Exploration Mentee (2016-2018), and a part of WomanPreach! Inc. (an organization that trains and supports preachers, pastors, and proclaimers of the Gospel across the country). Licensed in 2009, Min. Jené Colvin has worked in various ministry contexts, including campus ministry, young adult ministries, supporting ministers, drama & theater, community development, and creating faith-building and fellowship experiences for people of all generations.
