In February, we announced the appointment of our new Director of Study Abroad, Marty McGivern. Marty has been a member of our Study Abroad office more than four years, overseeing the marketing and advising of our outbound programs. In her role as Associate Director, she led an overhaul of the Study Abroad branding, streamlined the registration and credit articulation processes, and supported the development of new term long programs in Amman, Jordan and Cork, Ireland. With over 14 years of experience in study abroad programming and a PhD in International Education from NYU, she is an active contributor in the field through participation in professional associations. In her new role as Director of Study Abroad, Marty’s top priorities will include providing team leadership, meeting with Study Abroad stakeholders, designing and implementing a stronger system of program assessment, and developing a strategy for term long programs.
