New Associate Director for Regional Initiatives

After serving for six years as Associate Director for Regional Initiatives (ADRI) - China within Global Engagement, on July 1, 2022, our colleague and friend Hui Lin, Ph.D., will become the new director of the School of Accountancy and Management Information Systems in the Driehaus College of Business. As the new role will demand her full attention and dedication, Hui will no longer serve as ADRI-China in 2022-23. We are immensely grateful to Hui for all the work she has done with us, for her wisdom, work ethic, and friendship. Hui will continue to be a friend of Global Engagement and we are looking forward  to collaborating with her in her new leadership role within the College of Business.

As one friend moves on, a new one joins our team. Global Engagement is happy to welcome Ning Du, Ph.D. as its new Associate Director for Regional Initiatives - China. Ning will start her new role in July 2022. Ning is an associate professor in the School of Accountancy & MIS in the Driehaus College of Business. She earned her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from the Institute of International Relations in Beijing, China. Like many of us, she came to the US as an international student and earned her Master's Degree from Georgia State University and her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.  Since joining DePaul in 2005, Ning Du has taught financial accounting and reporting at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research bridges the gap between psychology and accounting with a special focus on judgment and decision-making for financial information users. She is a prolific author, published in many prominent journals. Ning brings experience and wisdom to our team and we are looking forward to working with her in the coming months.
