Global Engagement’s Response to COVID-19

Global Engagement’s Response to COVID-19

The Global Engagement division remains committed to providing support to our students, faculty and staff during this difficult time.  Our Study Abroad team has been working through the complexities of cancelling all of our Spring Break, Spring and Summer Quarter programs, as well as supporting our students abroad in returning home and making plans to continue making progress in their studies.

Our International Student Services team is working to ensure our international students can maintain their immigration status while enrolled in online courses, as well as planning the transition to a remote student services delivery model.  International students who were planning to join us for Spring Quarter will be able to participate in ISS Orientation online, and enroll in online courses.

Our English Language Academy, like all academic units, is moving all of their courses for Spring Quarter to a fully online delivery model.  ELA teachers underwent D2L Essentials Training, with Josh Lund and are experimenting with the tools and technologies available for teaching online.
