Student Registration
In order for students to access The Basic Needs Hub for the current academic year, they need to complete the registration form. The form is intended for enrolled DePaul students facing financial hardship and/or food insecurity. Please answer the questions honestly and understand that your responses will neither qualify nor disqualify you from receiving access to The Basic Needs Hub locations.
Use & Guidelines
To ensure equitable access to resources for all students, we are limiting visits to The Basic Needs Hub to one visit per week. A Blue Demon Card (DePaul ID) and registration for the Hub will continue to be required for access.
There is a maximum number of items per visit so we may serve as many community members as possible. For the most up to date allocation of frozen, refrigerated, dry goods, and household products, follow instructions displayed at a Hub location or email us at basicneeds@depaul.edu.
Lincoln Park Campus Hub
To provide students with a more personalized and focused experience, The Career Closet will now be available by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment by contacting basicneeds@depaul.edu.
Loop
Location: DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson Boulevard, Room 9500
Appointments: Make an appointment to access the Loop Career Closet on Handshake or call or visit the Career Center and ask the front desk to help you make an appointment. Clothing is limited to three items per student per quarter and must be checked out with the front desk before leaving the Career Center.
Additional rules:
(1) No backpacks are allowed inside Hub locations.
(2) The number of students allowed inside a Hub space at one time will be limited.

Please Note: Due to potential staffing issues, the Hub locations may need to close unexpectedly on occasion. We will do our best to provide advance notice whenever possible. We appreciate your understanding.

Food insecurity is a significant issue among college students across our country. Given the mission of St. Vincent de Paul and that of the university, the question "What must be done?" always comes to mind. In February 2020, a group of DePaul staff members from the Department of Housing, Dining & Student Centers established The Rosalie Rendu Student Pantry to provide a food resource for students in need. Since then, its offerings have expanded, which includes The Career Closet where students can pick up professional clothing to impress during interviews or on the job.
