The Brownstones Annex at the DePaul Lincoln Park Student Center needs a new name! We’re asking students to “axe the annex” (not literally) by helping us rename this space on campus. The winner will receive a $75 value care package with Blue Demon swag and treats from the DePaul Bookstore and bragging rights.
*The online form for the Brownstones Annex Naming Contest officially closed on January 24, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. CST. A panel of judges will select the top 3 name submissions and announce them on January 27, 2022. The DePaul community will then vote from the top 3 and the winner will be revealed on February 5, 2022. CONTEST ENTRY RULES
To be eligible to win the contest prize, an entrant must be an enrolled student with a DePaul University email address.
The contest winner will be chosen out of all entries submitted between January 10-24, 2022, and will be notified via their DePaul email address. Limit three (3) entries per person. The odds of winning will depend on the total number of entries received during that timeframe.
A panel of staff from the Department of Housing, Dining & Student Centers will select three (3) name submissions and ask the DePaul community to vote on their favorite between January 27 and February 3. The voting process will be presented on January 27, 2022, during the Blue Demon Challenge; and the winner will be announced on February 5, 2022.
Name submissions will be judged based on creativity and appropriateness. The use of obscene or offensive language will result in automatic disqualification. The winner will be selected at DePaul’s sole discretion and all decisions are final. If none of the names submitted are chosen, a random entry will receive the contest prize.
By participating in this contest, you give DePaul University (“DePaul”) the right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use the materials submitted for any purpose in any form and on any media.
No purchase is necessary to enter or to win. A purchase at Brownstones Café or any other on-campus business will not improve any entrant’s chances of winning.
