DePaul Innovation Day

DePaul Innovation Day 2022

Friday, January 28th 9:00am – 2:00 pm

DePaul's third annual Innovation Day, Collaborating through Convergent Research, is planned for Friday, January 28, 2022 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The focus of this year's event will be on collaborative, interdisciplinary, and convergent research. The President and the Provost will open the day with remarks, and the day will feature faculty presentations and panels that will highlight research and innovation projects focusing on equity and inclusion, social impact, and industry partnerships.

Through a variety of initiatives—from research partnerships with local organizations and city agencies to programs and events that integrate service and learning—the featured projects will both provide a glimpse of our dedication to the city that we call home and lead the way to the event’s culminating keynote presentation “Forget Silicon Valley, Welcome to Chicago.” Keynote speaker and alumnus, Abin Kuriakose, who currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Innovation and Venture Strategy for World Business Chicago, the City of Chicago’s economic development organization, will discuss how Chicago has the ingredients to become a global tech and innovation hub.

This event is sponsored and organized by the Office of the Provost, the Office of Research Services, and the Office of Academic Events.
