Getting Started with BlueKey

Once you are admitted to DePaul, you will receive an email to set up an account with the DePaul BlueKey Portal. This is a single sign-on system that will allow you to seamlessly access both Blue Demon Domain and Campus Connect (the DePaul student portal).
 
When you were admitted to DePaul, you received an email with detailed steps outlining how to set up your BlueKey login. Refer to this email to complete your set up and access DePaul systems moving foward.

Enrollment: Freshman Students

Declare your intent to enroll through Blue Demon Domain by June 1. 

Due to the 2024 FAFSA delays from the Department of Education, and to make sure everyone has enough time to consider their options, DePaul has pushed back this year’s decision deadline to June 1, 2024.

Submit your $200 non-refundable tuition deposit through Blue Demon Domain. (Note: Your deposit will be credited to your student account and will be deducted from your bill after you register for classes and will only apply to the term for which you've been admitted.)

If you've been admitted after the deposit deadline or for a term other than the fall, submit your deposit within two weeks of receiving your acceptance decision.

Enrollment: Transfer Students

Declare your intent to enroll by responding to your offer of admission in Blue Demon Domain.

 Due to the unpredictability of COVID-19, Fall housing has yet to be finalized. We are cautiously and methodically working through the pros and cons of each housing option before announcing a final plan. We appreciate your patience.

Submit Campus Housing Agreement: Freshman Students

On-campus housing is guaranteed to students who submit their Housing Agreement and $400 prepayment by May 1. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date your Housing Agreement, prepayment and parent/guardian voucher (if required) are received by the Department of Housing. Specific residence halls and roommates requests are not guaranteed.

To apply for on-campus housing, submit your Housing Agreement and prepayment through the Housing link in Blue Demon Domain.

Submit Campus Housing Agreement: Transfer Students

On-campus housing is guaranteed to transfer students who submit their Housing Agreement and $400 prepayment by June 1.  Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first served basis according to the date your Housing Agreement, prepayment and parent/guardian voucher (if necessary) are received by Department of Housing. 

To apply for housing, submit your on-campus Housing Agreement and $400 prepayment through the Request Housing link in Blue Demon Domain.

International Admission notifies undergraduate applicants of their acceptance to the university. Students will then complete the online I-20 request process (accessible to admitted students only). Completed requests and all other required documentation should be uploaded electronically, mailed, faxed or dropped off to:

Please note: Required documents vary by student and the online I-20 request process will provide the exact requirements for your student type and situation.

Prior to registering for orientation, you will need to complete DePaul’s required placement tests for writing and mathematics online.  You may be exempt from the placement process based on previous transfer credit. To see if you have fulfilled these requirements or to complete your placement process, go to Blue Demon Domain and use the "Complete Your Placement Process" link on your checklist. 

If you have completed exams through Advanced Placement courses, the International Baccalaureate program and A/S or A Levels, you may receive course credit from DePaul based on your scores/transcripts.

You may have your scores/transcripts sent electronically by the testing agency, or you may mail them to:

Register for Premiere DePaul Orientation: Freshman Students

The Premiere DePaul Orientation program will provide you with information you need before beginning your first day of classes.  During Premiere DePaul Orientation, you will meet with classmates, become acquainted with the campus and surrounding neighborhoods, and meet with an academic advisor to register for classes.

Sign up for Premiere DePaul Orientation through Blue Demon Domain beginning April 1 for freshman students admitted for the fall quarter.  In order to access this registration, you will first need to submit your tuition deposit and complete the required placement process noted above.

Register for Transition DePaul Orientation: Transfer Students 

DePaul's transfer student orientation program - Transition DePaul - is a two-part orientation, consisting of both online and on-campus experiences.  Once you have completed the online orientation and the placement process outlined above, you will then register for the mandatory on-campus orientation program.  During on-campus orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.

Transition DePaul on-campus orientation programs are offered periodically throughout the year.

  • Log in to Blue Demon Domain to complete your Online Orientation and register for Transition DePaul.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019 from DePaul University,you must complete an electronic immigration document check-in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) and update your local U.S. address in Campus Connect within the first week of your arrival on campus.

A class registration hold has been placed on your student account and will not be released until ISS receives and reviews your immigration documents and verifies that your local address has been entered in Campus Connection. If your documents are not successfully submitted, you will receive an email from ISS with further instructions.

All admitted international undergraduate and transfer students holding F-1 and J-1 visas are required to complete both a pre-arrival online orientation and attend International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) on-campus international student orientation, as well as complete an online legal document check-in.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019, you must complete an online immigration document check-in.

You must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for need-based financial aid. Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 and no later than February 1 for maximum aid consideration for fall quarter.

  • Go to the FAFSA website to file your FAFSA application.
  • Use the School Code Search and select DePaul (#001671) as the school to which you would like your FAFSA information sent.

Note: If you are entering DePaul in winter, spring or summer quarters, file the FAFSA as soon as possible.

Enrollment is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance through all of your educational terms. Send us your official, final transcript from the institution you most recently attended as soon as it becomes available. Failure to submit your final transcript will prevent you from registering for classes.

If you should fall below the academic standards on which your admission was based or exhibit a significant change in character, DePaul has the right to revoke your offer of admission, withdraw you from any courses for which you have registered and institute additional requirements for reapplication.

If you’ve completed exams through Advanced Placement (AP) courses, A & A/S Level (Cambridge International Examinations) and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, you may receive course credit from DePaul based on your scores/transcripts.
