Getting Started: Freshman Students

Admitted freshman students will use two web portals to complete next steps for enrollment: Blue Demon Domain and Campus Connect.
  • Blue Demon Domain
    • Blue Demon Domain has your next steps portal where you will find your personal checklist of items that need to be completed.  You may have set up an account when you were applying to DePaul and to check on the status of your application.  If you have not logged in yet, go to the site and set up your account.  You will find instructions and your personal next steps checklist on Blue Demon Domain.
  • Campus Connect
    • When you were admitted to DePaul, you received a two-part email with instructions to set up your Campus Connect account.  You will be required to use these Campus Connect login credentials to complete a few of your next steps.  Once you are enrolled at DePaul, you will use Campus Connect for all your university transactions and administrative tasks. 
    • Please note: Your Campus Connect login credentials can be used for both portals.  If you forgot your password, use the "Recover Password" link on the login page.  If you have not received your Campus Connect username, contact Information Services Help Desk at +1(312)362-8765 or tsc@depaul.edu and inform them that you are a newly admitted student. 

Getting Started: Transfer​ Students

Admitted transfer students will use Campus Connect​​​ only to review your checklist and next steps to complete.
  • Campus Connect
    • ​When you were admitted to DePaul, you received a two-part email with instructions to set up your Campus Connect account.  You will be required to use these Campus Connect login credentials to complete your next steps.  Once you are enrolled at DePaul, you will use Campus Connect for all your university transactions and administrative tasks.  
    • Please note:  If you forgot your password, use the "Recover Password" link on the login page.  If you have not received your Campus Connect username, contact Information Services at +1(312)362-8765 or tsc@depaul.edu and inform them that you are a newly admitted transfer student. ​

Reserve Your Spot

Enrollment: Freshman Students

Declare your intent to enroll though Blue De​​mon Domain by National Candidate Reply Date of Tuesday, May 1, 2018, or within two of receiving your acceptance packet.

  • Submit your $200 non-refundable tuition deposit through Blue Demon Domain​​. (Note: Your deposit will be credited to your student account and will be deducted from your bill after you register for classes and will only apply to the term for which you have been admitted.)

Enrollment: Transfer Students

Declare your intent to enroll through Campus Connect.

  • Log in to Campus Connect using your username and password.
  • Use the menu sequence: Self Service > Admission > Next Steps > Admitted Student Response.
  • Submit your $200 non-refundable tuition deposit.  Note: Your deposit will be credited to your student account and will be deducted from your bill after you register for classes and will only apply to the term for which you’ve been admitted.

If you’ve been admitted after the deposit deadline or for a term other than fall, submit your deposit within two weeks of receiving your acceptance packet.

Submit Campus Housing Agreement

Submit Campus Housing Agreement: Freshman Students

On-campus housing is guaranteed to students who submit their Housing Agreement and $400 prepayment by May 1, 2018. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date your Housing Agreement, prepayment and parent/guardian voucher (if required) are received by the Department of Housing Services.  Specific residence halls and roommates requests are not guaranteed.  

To apply for on-campus housing, submit your Housing Agreement and prepayment through the Housing link in Blue Demon Domain

​Submit Campus Housing Agreement: Transfer​ Students

To apply for housing, submit your on-campus Housing Agreement through Campus Connect.

  • Log in to Campus Connect using your username and password.
  • Use the menu sequence: Self Service > Admission > Next Steps > Campus Housing.
  • Submit your on-campus Housing Agreement.
  • Submit the $4​00 pre-​​payment.

Online I-20 Request Process

International Admission notifies undergraduate applicants of their acceptance to the university. Students will then complete the online I-20 request process (accessible to admitted students only). Completed requests and all other required documentation should be uploaded electronically, mailed, faxed or dropped off to:

Complete Placement Process and Submit Scores

Prior to registering for orientation, you will need to complete DePaul’s required placement tests for writing and mathematics online.  Placement tests for modern languages and chemistry are optional for students planning to enroll in these course.  You can access the Placement Process in Blue Demon Domain​

  • Log in to Campus Connect using your username and password.
  • Use the menu sequence: Self Service > Admission > Next Steps > Placement Process.

If you have completed exams through Advanced Placement courses, the International Baccalaureate program and A/S or A Levels, you may receive course credit from DePaul based on your scores/transcripts.

You may have your scores/transcripts sent electronically by the testing agency, or you may mail them to:

Register for Orientation and Register for Classes

​Register for Premiere DePaul Orientation: Freshman Students 

The Premiere DePaul Orientation program will provide you with information you need before beginning your first day of classes.  During Premiere DePaul Orientation, you will meet with classmates, become acquainted with the campus and surrounding neighborhoods, and meet with an academic advisor to register for classes.

Sign up for Premiere DePaul Orientation through Blue Demon Domain beginning April 1 for freshman students admitted for the fall quarter.  In order to access this registration, you will first need to submit your tuition deposit and complete the required placement process noted above.

Register for Transition DePaul Orientation: Transfer Students 

DePaul's transfer student orientation program - Transition DePaul ​- is a two-part orientation, consisting of both online and on-campus experiences.  Once you have completed the online orientation and the placement process outlined above, you will then register for the mandatory on-campus orientation program.  During on-campus orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.

Transition DePaul on-campus orientation programs are offered periodically throughout the year.

  • Use the menu sequence: Self Service > Admission > Next Steps > New Student Orientation to register for orientation.

ISS Electronic Legal Document Check-in (F-1 and J-1 students only)

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019 from DePaul University,you must complete an electronic immigration document check-in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) and update your local U.S. address in Campus Connection within the first week of your arrival on campus.

A class registration hold has been placed on your student account and will not be released until ​ISS receives and reviews your immigration documents and verifies that your local address has been entered in Campus Connection. If your documents are not successfully submitted, you will receive an​ email from ISS with further instructions.​

International Student Orientation (F-1 and J-1 students only)

All admitted international undergraduate and transfer students holding F-1 and J-1 visas are required to complete both a pre-arrival online orientation and attend International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) on-campus international student orientation, as well as complete an online legal document check-in.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019, you must complete an online immigration document check-in

Apply for Financial Aid (U.S. Citizens & Permanent Residents only)

You must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for need-based financial aid. Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 and no later than February 1 for maximum aid consideration for fall quarter.

  • Go to the FAFSA website to file your FAFSA application.
  • Use the School Code Search and select DePaul (#001671) as the school to which you would like your FAFSA information sent.

Note: If you are entering DePaul in winter, spring or summer quarters, file the FAFSA as soon as possible.

Submit Final Transcript

Enrollment is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance through all of your educational terms. Send us your official, final transcript from the institution you most recently attended as soon as it becomes available. Failure to submit your final transcript will prevent you from registering for classes.

If you should fall below the academic standards on which your admission was based or exhibit a significant change in character, DePaul has the right to revoke your offer of admission, withdraw you from any courses for which you have registered and institute additional requirements for reapplication. ​

Submit AP, IB, or A & A/S Level Scores

If you’ve completed exams through Advanced Placement (AP) courses, A & A/S Level (Cambridge International Examinations) and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, you may receive course credit from DePaul based on your scores/transcripts.

Provide Proof of Immunization

DePaul University complies with Illinois state law, which requires students to provide proof of immunization for Tetanus/Diphtheria, Measles, Mumps and Rubella. Learn more about the process, requirements and exemptions. ​
