DePaul enrolled 8,710 students of color in 2018, compared with 8,544 in 2017. Students of color account for 39 percent of total enrollment, 41 percent of undergraduate enrollment, 35 percent of graduate enrollment and 30 percent of law enrollment.

A total of 931 students report themselves as multiracial/non-Hispanic students in 2018, compared with 722 in 2017. A total of 6 percent of these students are undergraduates.

International Students on F1 and J1 Visas

In total, 1,325 students have international student status (on F1 and J1 visas), compared with 1,467 in 2017. This year, one-third of international students are undergraduates, and two-thirds are graduate and law students. International students represent 6 percent of total university enrollment.

International Undergraduate Enrollment Trends

  • There are 454 international undergraduate students (or 3 percent of all undergraduates).  
  • Nearly half of these international students enrolled in BUS (47 percent). International undergraduates are enrolled in all colleges.
  • International undergraduates come from more than 75 countries, with China the largest source, accounting for more than one-third of international undergraduate students, followed by Saudi Arabia and India.

International Graduate and Law Enrollment Trends

  • A total of 871 international graduate and law students enrolled in 2018, compared with 984 in 2017. The largest proportion of students enrolled in CDM and KGSB. Nineteen percent of CDM enrollment and 14 percent of KGSB enrollment is international students.
  • Students come from about 70 countries, with more than one quarter from China, followed by Saudi Arabia and India.
