Career Outcomes Hold Strong for DePaul's Class of 2016

Career outcomes for DePaul's undergraduate and graduate students remain strong, according to a recent report from EMM’s Career Center. The 2016 undergraduate outcomes rate is 93 percent, and the graduate rate is 94 percent. These rates show the percentage of degree recipients who were employed, continuing their education, or not seeking employment or further studies* within six  months of graduation.

The career outcomes report, released in July 2017, is based on data the Career Center collected at June 2016 commencement and again six months later, in addition to information gathered from public record via LinkedIn. The knowledge rate, which is the percentage of the graduating population for which we have data—is 86 percent for undergraduates and 83 percent for graduates.

“DePaul should be very proud of these career outcomes,” says Karyn McCoy, assistant vice president for the Career Center. “When compared with first-destination data provided by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), DePaul continues to outperform national averages. For the class of 2016, DePaul boasts 81 percent of bachelor's degree recipients as employed versus the national rate of 65 percent. For master's degree recipients, 90 percent of DePaul graduates were employed at six-months after graduation versus the national average of 81 percent."
