Kari joined the Enrollment Management team in May 2023, as the Assistant Vice President of International Admission. In this role, she leads the strategic development and implementation of DePaul University’s international student marketing, recruitment and admission operations. Prior to joining the Enrollment Management team, she led the division of Global Engagement for more than a decade, overseeing Study Abroad, the English Language Academy, International Admission and International Student and Scholar Services. In this capacity, she lead the division in increasing inbound and outbound student mobility, improving student engagement and satisfaction, and expanding centralized services and resources for the university.
As a passionate lifelong learner, Kari earned her Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA), from DePaul University’s Kelstadt Graduate School of Management; Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business, from Thunderbird Global School of Management; and Bachelor of Arts, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Poland, and spent time working and studying in Czech Republic, Poland and Russia.
In her spare time, she enjoys teaching part-time in the College of Business; recreational sports such as skiing, tennis and golf; reading historical fiction; and enjoying time with her family.
