Karen serves as the assistant vice president for the Office of Financial Aid. She oversees the strategy for financial aid functions including Financial Aid Operations, DePaul Central and the Contact Center., Karen originally joined the division in September 2008 as director of DePaul Central and Student Services for the Office of Financial Aid.
Previously, Karen held roles as an account manager and assistant vice president for CitiBank’s Student Loan Corporation and director of financial aid for Robert Morris University, where she earned her BAS in business administration. She is a member of the Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (ILASFSA), currently serving as the President for 2020-2021, Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA), currently serving as Illinois State Representative and National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
Originally from Highland, Ind., Karen resides in Schererville, Ind. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, walking, live music and Chicago sports. She is a mother of three boys.
