Employment & Income Verification Service

DePaul has partnered with an income and employment verification service, Equifax (“The Work Number”). This service helps with gathering verification information needed to apply for loans, mortgages, a new job or rental qualification, and others. For details about this verification service, see the The Work Number brochure.

For Employment Verification

Includes job title, employment status, start date, and length of service.  No income information is provided.

Verifier will need:

  • Company Code: 33018
If you are a current or former DePaul employee and need your full-time employment at DePaul certified for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, click here.

For Income Verification

Includes employee name, hire date, length of service, pay rate, pay frequency (hourly/salaried), average hours worked, pay cycle (bi-weekly), and YTD wages.

Verifier will need:

  • Employer Code: 33018
  • Your Social Security Number
  • Your Salary Key
    • In some cases a salary key may be required. A Salary key is an electronic signature when verifiers don’t have the infrastructure on the front end to electronically capture consent/permissible purpose. It’s used on less than 1% of all the transactions we do. Some government agencies mandate it on all verifications though also for their employee’s sake/safety.  Employees, or former employees, generate the salary key, which can only be used once and expires after 90 days.
    • For details about the Salary Key, read the The Work Number brochure.
