Dear Members of the DePaul Community,
Earlier this morning, we announced Dr. Robert Manuel will serve as DePaul's 13th president. We are tremendously excited to welcome President-Elect Manuel and his family to the DePaul community.
This moment has been nine months in the making. President-Elect Manuel's appointment – by unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees – followed a careful and robust national search. We are grateful to the more than 500 students, faculty, staff and administration who played a role in the process. Hundreds submitted feedback and participated in listening sessions followed by nearly 100 faculty, staff and students who served on the search advisory and vetting committees.
The Board extends its deepest appreciation for the time, diligence and affection demonstrated for DePaul, as we completed this thorough process to identify the university's next president. We look forward to working with President-elect Manuel, as he engages students, faculty and staff across the university in charting the course for a bright promise of opportunities that lie ahead for the DePaul University.
