Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students, St. Vincent de Paul showed us what it means to see the dignity in all human beings and to respond not only with compassion and understanding, but also with action. This October, DePaul University is honored to... read more
I'm delighted to share that thanks to the support of our Board of Trustees for leading fundraising efforts, Christmas at DePaul will return this year.
With the 2026 midterm elections coming up in November, we want to remind the DePaul community that early voting begins today, Thursday, Sept. 24.
At this year’s Academic Convocation, our community reflected on the image of St. Vincent’s table and its powerful reminder of the mission we are called to act upon. When we look at St. Vincent’s table, we see a place where everyone, from every background, is welcomed.
For more than 125 years, DePaul’s commitment to education and service has remained at the heart of our Catholic, Vincentian mission. There is nothing quite like the start of a new academic year at DePaul. Our Lincoln Park and Loop campuses are once again filled with students, new ideas, and the energy that makes this university such a special place. I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 2026-27 academic year.
The start of a new academic year serves as an opportunity to reflect on the kind of university community we aspire to be. From election season to global events to questions about higher education itself, we will have plenty to discuss. Sometimes we will agree, and sometimes we won’t. And that’s okay.
At DePaul University, we welcome people of every faith and spiritual background as part of our Catholic and Vincentian mission to recognize and respect our multi-faith campus population.
Good morning. It’s wonderful to be back with you all as we begin our new term together. I spent significant time reflecting this summer — thinking about the state of our world, the needs at DePaul, what it means to be alive at this moment — and what we need in our community to weather the storm.
As we get ready to start a new academic year, DePaul is resuming its search for our next vice president for Mission and Ministry.
