The English Language Academy (ELA) offers non-credit certificate courses year-round. We accept new students for classes beginning in January, March, June and September. Below is our calendar.
We strongly recommend that all students—both new and continuing—complete their applications no later than six weeks before the beginning of the term. Placement and orientation dates are also listed below. Please note that we cannot guarantee a place in our program if an application is received after this date.

*Add/Drop deadline: ELA has its own add/drop deadlines different from DePaul University. Tuition payments excluding tuition deposits are refunded when students submit a written request to withdraw from their classes by this date. Any withdrawal requests after this date will have no refund.
