Graduate

Congratulations on your admission to DePaul!

The following checklist is intended for students that will be in need of a F-1 or J-1 visa while studying at DePaul. The Graduate Admission Office will communicate with you regarding your next steps for enrollment.

Additional resources are provided to assist you with transitioning to life in Chicago and in the U.S. We look forward to you joining the DePaul community!

Graduate Admissions communicate with applicants on their acceptance to the university. Students will then complete the online I-20 request process (accessible to admitted students only). Completed requests and all other required documentation should be uploaded electronically, mailed, faxed or dropped off to:

DePaul University, International Admission
1 East Jackson Blvd, Suite 9300
Chicago, Illinois 60604 USA

Please note: Required documents vary by student and the online I-20 request process will provide the exact requirements for your student type and situation.

If you received a SEVIS I-20 or SEVIS DS-2019 from DePaul University, you must complete an electronic immigration document check-in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) and update your local U.S. address in Campus Connect within the first week of your arrival on campus.

A class registration hold has been placed on your student account and will not be released until ISS receives and reviews your immigration documents and verifies that your local address has been entered in Campus Connection. If your documents are not successfully submitted, you will receive an email from ISS with further instructions.

All admitted international undergraduate, graduate and transfer students holding F-1 and J-1 visas are required to complete both a pre-arrival online orientation and attend International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) on-campus international student orientation, as well as complete an online legal document check-in
