Communications

University Communications promotes and protects DePaul’s reputation through strategic communications planning and multi-channel storytelling. We work collaboratively with campus partners throughout the university to uncover and tell compelling brand-aligned stories about DePaul’s people, programs and initiatives to a wide variety of audiences, both internal and external.

  • Internal Communications: We drive awareness of DePaul happenings among faculty, staff, students and parents, and connect our community through the university’s daily e-newsletter, Newsline. We also support campus partners in developing internal communications plans for key university initiatives.

  • Media Relations: We amplify university news and distinct programs to the news media and connect reporters with DePaul experts. We also train faculty and administrators to participate in interviews and work with journalists effectively.

  • Public Relations and Strategic Communications: We develop strategic, multiplatform communication campaigns that embody the voice and vision of the university and drive visibility with events. During an emergency or crisis, we coordinate communications and share information with the community.

  • Visual Services: We document DePaul’s people, places and events by providing photography, videography and multimedia services to the divisions of Communications, Branding and Marketing, the President's Office and other campus partners. We maintain the Visual Services Photo Database and provide professional headshots for faculty and staff.
