Research Exchange & Collaboration Project

Purpose: The Research and Exchange and Collaboration project members' efforts will be dedicated to sharing research and working out collaborations on scholarly activity. The project group members and any other interested members of the Society will meet at least quarterly and discuss research topics of mutual interest. Further activities will include exchange of drafts and possible coauthorship of publications. Panel presentations and public dissemination of ideas online will be part of the agenda as projects develop. Additional research projects could be developed in cooperation with the Committee on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. The project will further the aims of the Society by combining teaching and scholarly interests in a cross-discipline cooperative effort. Disseminating the work the project generates will also contribute to the mission of having members serve as ambassadors for the university. The work will advance DePaul University’s mission of service to the urban community. Each participant will commit to engaging students in the research and public outreach efforts.

VdPP Project Coordinator: Mark Weber

Time Frame: The project will continue for the duration of the collaboration. There will be a formal reassessment within a year to determine whether to continue the committee.

Projects: The group has identified common interests among Society members gaining a number of additional participants and will be looking to foster collaborations among those interested.
