The University Strategic Steering Committee provides leadership and direction for implementing the Designing DePaul strategic plan and guides the work of the five strategic subcommittees to monitor progress toward key priorities.

Strategic Subcommittees
Reporting to the steering committee, five strategic subcommittees composed of faculty, staff, and students are charged with translating those priorities into action, identifying measurable outcomes, and advancing key areas of focus.
Academic Distinction Subcommittee
This subcommittee is championing initiatives that make a DePaul education stand out among competitors by reviewing existing plans and launching new strategies to elevate DePaul's reputation, distinction and fiscal strength, including efforts focused on artificial intelligence and a pilot co-op model.
Academic Programs National Interests Subcommittee
This subcommittee is exploring how socially critical programs such as teaching, nursing, social work and public health can be made more affordable for students in light of upcoming student loan changes by considering innovative tuition models, including debt-free pricing, tuition guarantees and paid residencies, beginning with undergraduate teacher licensure programs.
Graduate Program Financial Aid, Recruitment, Marketing, and Branding Subcommittee
This work aims to identify the most effective ways to attract and enroll domestic graduate students by establishing criteria for which programs to invest in immediately while developing a long-term roadmap and exploring financial aid optimization and enrollment prediction tools to strengthen graduate enrollment.

Loop Campus Design Subcommittee
This committee is exploring options that better position DePaul for the long term by reviewing how the university's Loop presence can best support student success and academic programs while remaining fiscally responsible to determine whether and how to develop these options into recommendations for further consideration and potential execution.

This subcommittee centers on holistic student success for every DePaul student with the goal of increasing retention and improving career outcomes by exploring a coordinated, data-informed student success model and expanding integrated advising tools and career readiness practices throughout the student journey.
