This subcommittee centers on holistic student success for every DePaul student with the goal of increasing retention and improving career outcomes. The group is exploring how our student success model can deliver well-coordinated, data-informed support and how to embed high-impact career readiness practices throughout the student journey. Early efforts include advancing the use of integrated advising and student success technology tools, and expanding proven career exploration and readiness programs to reach every student. At the heart of this work is a shared commitment across faculty and staff to support and empower student success.

Subcommittee Update
  • The committee has identified two key initiatives: advancing the use of integrated advising and student success technology tools, and expanding proven career exploration and readiness programs to reach every student.
A priority for the retention initiative is to review current advising structures to prepare for launch of new advising and technology tools. On career readiness, the committee is exploring creating a customized Career Readiness Integration Plan. Essential to success is developing a culture of collective ownership where all faculty and staff understand their important role in empowering student success.
