The University Strategic Steering Committee, led by Provost Salma Ghanem andExecutive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sherri Sidler, provides overall leadership and coordination for implementing the Designing DePaul strategic plan. The committee brings together senior leaders to guide priorities, ensure alignment across initiatives, and monitor progress toward key goals. Working closely with the plan’s subcommittees, the group helps translate strategy into action while maintaining transparency and accountability across the university.

Progress Update
- The strategic steering committee has moved from the initial planning phases into the active oversight of implementation milestones for Designing DePaul. The committee has focused on synchronizing the workflows of the five subcommittees to ensure that initiatives align with our broader institutional goals. By establishing a centralized reporting cadence, the group is now providing leadership with real-time data to monitor progress, and adjust resource allocation where needed. This shift from conceptual planning to operational execution ensures that the strategic plan advances with the transparency and fiscal accountability required to meet our long-term objectives.
