Charlie Bachtell (JD '03) is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cresco Labs. He has served as CEO since 2015, leading the company's growth with an emphasis on disciplined operations, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder trust in one of the country's most highly regulated industries. Before Cresco Labs, Bachtell built deep experience at the intersection of law and business, including approximately a decade at Guaranteed Rate, where he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. A DePaul University College of Law alumnus, Bachtell earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, where he was a member of the Men's Tennis program, and has described his career as grounded in applying legal and operational rigor to complex, evolving regulatory environments.
