Rev. Mark Pranaitis

  • Executive Director
  • Vincentian International Mission Services

Mark Pranaitis is a Vincentian priest who has served in a variety of ministries including almost eight years at DePaul University.  Currently he serves as executive director of  Vincentian International Mission Services.

Mark's years in ministry have included assignments as a parish priest, the director of stewardship and development for a diocese, and multiple administrative roles in the university and Vincentian province.  He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy, two master's degrees in theology, and the Ph.D. in organization development.

While at DePaul (1999-2005) Mark oversaw the Office of Applied Innovations, a workforce development training program funded by public grants and contracts and Career Colleges of Chicago, a for-profit college owned by DePaul University until its sale in 2003.  Subsequently he managed the university's real estate helping with acquisitions and leased retail space.  He also  served as Owner's Representative of University Center of Chicago (UCC) helping the three partner schools to integrate this new shared residence hall into their housing stock while also advising the UCC board on the business operations of the facility and its retail space.

During his second term at DePaul (2007-2009) Mark served as Associate Provost.  Among his responsibilities were international programs, suburban campuses, and space assignments.

A New Jersey native, Mark finished his high school years and started college in Colorado.  His family's move from New Jersey to Colorado evidently started a pattern since he hasn't stopped moving since.  With his most recent move to St. Louis, Missouri he has completed his 29th.  When not working, Mark enjoys biking, reading, and old-fashioned letter writing.
