Mr. David Booth

David Booth is a native of Peoria, Illinois and played basketball for the Blue Demons from 1988-92 earning a bachelors degree in communications. Booth is DePaul's 2nd all-time leading scorer and a 2009 DePaul University Hall of Fame Inductee. Booth went on to play professionally in such places as Italy, France and Japan from 1992-2005. After his playing career Booth transitioned to the NBA and worked in a scouting capacity for the Memphis Grizzlies from 2005-09 and was hired in 2010 as Director of Player Personnel for the New Orleans Pelicans. In June of 2020 Booth was hired as Associate Vice President of Basketball Operations for the National Basketball Association. As Associate Vice President, Basketball Operations, Booth is responsible for interfacing directly with teams and players regarding league programs, rules, new initiatives and competitive elements. His role is intended to further enhance and build upon the strong working relationship between NBA League Operations and its teams under the Respect for the Game umbrella as well as more broadly on all game-focused topics.
