Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

We are heartbroken to share the tragic news of the sudden passing of Reanna Hammad, a master’s student in DePaul’s School of Nursing. Reanna was a beloved daughter, friend, and exceptional student. We are holding her family in our hearts, offering care and support during this unimaginably difficult time.

We extend our deepest prayers to all her loved ones and recognize how upsetting this loss is for her faculty, classmates, and our university community. Please know that support is available:

The Azza in honor of Reanna, and to share condolences with her family and loved ones, will take place on Tuesday, May 20 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Orland Park Mosque, 16530 104th Ave., Orland Park, IL.

DePaul Muslim Life will gather for a prayer service on Wednesday, May 21 at 4 p.m. in Cortelyou Commons. For more details, please contact Abdul-Malik Ryan.
