Care and support for our community


Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

We recognize that the news about increased immigration enforcement and potential National Guard deployment may create uncertainty for many in our community. We would like to reaffirm that the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff is paramount. DePaul Public Safety and our university leadership team continue to monitor the situation and are staying in close contact with local and state authorities. 

We don’t anticipate any changes in university operations. Classes, research, and campus activities will proceed as scheduled.

DePaul is a special community that is built on care, respect, and compassion. In moments like these, it is important that we look out for one another. For students seeking additional support, the following opportunities are available:

University Counseling & Psychological Services In-Person Walk-In Hours 

  • Lincoln Park: Student Center, Suite 350
    • Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1 - 5 p.m.
    • Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1 – 5 p.m.
    • Thursday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 5 p.m.
    • Friday, Sept. 5, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 5 p.m.
  • Loop Campus: Lewis Center, Suite 1400/1465
    • Thursday, Sept. 4, 1:30 – 5 p.m.
    • Friday, Sept. 5, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
