Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Over the last two years, our community has engaged in developing Designing DePaul, the framework to position our university as a national leader in delivering high-quality, mission-driven education. We are nearing the launch of the Designing DePaul Strategic Plans, and I look forward to sharing more next week following the Board of Trustees meeting.
At the heart of this work is our Catholic, Vincentian mission. In that spirit, I’m pleased to announce the search for our next vice president for Mission and Ministry. This leadership role is critical to our future, especially as we get ready to implement the strategic plans which will help ensure we are defining our future success together.
We are forming a search committee that includes representation from our colleges, administrative departments, students, and shared governance councils. Arbin Smith, chief of staff and vice president for strategic initiatives, and Dania Matos, vice president for diversity, inclusion and belonging, will co-chair the committee. They will share the full committee list and additional updates as the process moves forward. The job description will be posted shortly on DePaul’s website.
Thank you for your dedication to ensuring DePaul continues to serve our students with purpose, compassion, and distinction.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Manuel
President
