Designing DePaul feedback accepted until September 30

From our very first conversations about designing DePaul’s future, we knew that we needed a fully collaborative effort to be successful. Thank you to all who have already engaged and shared your ideas and comments.

The comment period for the Designing DePaul outcomes report remains open until Saturday, September 30. This report summarizes more than 50 working sessions and 3,000 voices from our community including faculty, students, staff, trustees, alumni, parents and retirees. Please review, share your comments, and add your voice to our efforts. Your thoughts will help us make Designing DePaul even better.

Last week, we took an important step in driving a clear Designing DePaul priority forward, focusing on safety and security. Students, faculty and staff gathered at the September 14 Campus Safety Summit to share perspectives on safety issues and solutions. Representatives from the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Transit Authority, and the offices of Ald. Timmy Knudsen and Ald. Brian Hopkins – important partners in our university-wide safety and security approach – also attended and demonstrated their commitment to keeping the dialogue going.

Thank you to all who participated in the Summit. We will soon share a summary and welcome everyone’s comments. Please also watch for and participate in a campus safety survey coming soon.

I hope your fall classes are off to a strong start. As always, thank you for all you do for DePaul.
