Digital Transformation Summit invitation

Earlier this week, one of the updates I shared at the University Town Hall  focused on DePaul’s digital transformation. This project, which is a key initiative for Designing DePaul, consists of three main components: an internal portal, data lake and public website.

One of the first ways the DePaul community can contribute to the process of developing these new tools is a through a series of Digital Transformation Summits. I invite you to attend these interactive sessions to share your thoughts, build on them and explore a wide range of possibilities with other DePaul community members. The summits will take place on:

  • Wednesday, April 10, 1 - 4 p.m., Loop Campus, DePaul Center
RSVP

  • Thursday, April 11, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Lincoln Park Campus, Student Center
RSVP

  • Tuesday, April 16, 7 - 8:30 p.m., virtual
  • Friday, April 19, 10 - 11:30 a.m., virtual

The summits are only the first opportunity for the DePaul community to provide input into this process. Faculty, staff, and students will also be invited to participate in focus groups and interviews. Deloitte Consulting, the lead on the project, will also host virtual drop-in office hours on Tuesdays and Fridays, where community members can share input and ask questions. Finally, everyone will have an opportunity to complete a survey to help inform the project. The digital transformation project team will share more details about all these opportunities soon.

I want to emphasize again that your participation in this process is critical. We need to dream big and design what we need to radically transform how we connect to one another and share information - and how we tell DePaul’s story to the world. I hope you will share your experiences and insights to help us create a user-friendly, intuitive, and inclusive digital space for our community.

If you weren’t able to attend the town hall or want to review the information I and other university leaders shared, a link to the recording will be available soon. Congratulations on completing an excellent winter quarter, and I hope our students have a fun (and safe) spring break. I look forward to kicking off the spring quarter with you shortly and know we will continue to do great work together.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Manuel
President
