Dialogue in Action Certificate

DePaul will offer a proprietary certification called Dialogue in Action, which is housed in the College of Communication. This series of workshops will cover the principles and facilitation of dialogue. The workshops will equip DePaul community members with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in framing, designing, and leading dialogues across diverse perspectives.  

How to apply

We are accepting applications for Spring 2025. Twenty DePaul community members will be selected for each cohort. Participants will be compensated $1,500 for their time. Participants will be given an additional $500 after completing the workshops and executing a dialogue-related event, project or initiative.  

The time commitment includes:  
  • Attending six, 3-hour in-person workshop sessions.   
  • Planning at least one initiative or event that integrates a dialogic approach.  
  • To apply, candidates must submit:   
    • Resume or CV  
    • ​A statement of interest including evidence of their scholarly or practical experience working in ideologically diverse spaces, and their current understanding of dialogue 
    • A letter of support from direct supervisor   
    • Confirmation of availability for all sessions:  
      • Wednesday evenings, 4-7 p.m. in Spring Quarter: April 9, April 16, April 23, April 30, May 7, and May 21​
