The Executive Compliance Committee meets three times a year to discuss DePaul's compliance initiatives. The committee's membership includes a variety of members representing several areas of academic and operational departments at DePaul.
The committee is charged with the following responsibilities and goals:
- Annual review of high-risk list
- Review and approval of high-risk area monitoring plans
- Review any audit recommendations for high-risk areas
Monitoring plans identify risks and help determine controls to mitigate them. Areas are identified as high risk based on the likelihood of non-compliance due to complexity or inherent risks, the consequence of non-compliance as it relates to a federal or state audit, financial loss, harm to people or damage to DePaul's reputation.
