Data Center (and Remote Access) VPN

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) client allows you to securely connect from your workstation to DePaul's Campus Network or to DePaul's Data Centers. Connecting to DePaul's Virtual Private Network (VPN) through the Pulse Secure client requires the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app and BlueKey multi-factor authentication (MFA).  You will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app and setup BlueKey MFA at bluekey.depaul.edu/multifactorsetup (if you haven't already done so) prior to accessing the VPN.

Virus Protection

Antivirus is software used to prevent, detect and remove computer viruses. All DePaul owned and imaged computers include antivirus software.  It is recommended that you install and maintain antivirus on your personal computers.

Encryption

Data and computer encyption can be vital levels of security for many people who handle sensitive data and have administrative access at DePaul.

Patches and Updates

Patches and updates are critical aspects of keeping data, computers, systems, and devices secure. It is important to make regular and automatic updates for computer operating systems, mobile phone operating systems, web browsers, and apps.
