Dining Announcements

Email sent to the DePaul comunity on October 22, 2025:

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new catering company, Plate 1898 Catering. Plate 1898 is dedicated to delivering exceptional food, outstanding service, and customized experiences for every occasion—from meetings for faculty and staff to student lead organizations, large or small campus events.

With this new venture, we’re bringing fresh menus, locally inspired ingredients, and flexible options designed to meet a wide range of tastes and budgets. Whether you’re planning a casual gathering or a formal celebration, Plate 1898 Catering will make it effortless and memorable.

In the coming weeks we will launch our catering website with easy to navigate online menus and ordering, a sneak-peak into the menu offerings from Plate 1898:

It is our goal to ensure a seamless transition that meets all your event needs. Prior to the launch of the catering site, please direct all catering inquiries for events beginning December 1 to the new Aramark catering email address: catering@depaul.edu.

Chef Paolo Stefani and his team will work with you on menus, pricing, and logistical details. Following this process will ensure a timely response and continuity as we close out the quarter. A new catering website will also launch soon, using the same familiar software platform. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and support—we can’t wait to serve you!

Sincerely,

The Plate 1898 Catering team
