Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality (IAQ) is influenced by many factors including building occupants, building heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and the quality of outdoor air supplying those systems, possible pollutant pathways, and possible contaminant sources, which include water damaged building materials, temperature and humidity issues, dust and airborne particulates, etc.

Also, individual sensitivities may cause some to experience discomfort at contaminant levels far below acceptable thresholds. Due to variations in individual sensitivities and scientific limitations, a source of IAQ concerns may not always be found even after thorough investigation.

EHS and Facility Operations work together to address these concerns to the best of our ability. To report an IAQ concern, please contact Public Safety (Lincoln Park: 773-325-7777 | Loop 312-362-8400) to make an initial report. EHS will reach out to you with more information.
