Launching the OIDE vice president search

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

Last week, I met with the committee that will help us identify the next vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. I’m happy to report our search is officially underway.

DePaul is partnering with WittKieffer, a global leadership search and advisory firm, to help support this important work for our university. Our search committee includes a diverse group of representatives from our colleges, administrative departments, and shared governance councils. The full committee list is available below and on the search website.

The university community will have many opportunities to participate throughout the search process:

  • WittKieffer will lead a series of listening sessions to learn about what our university community is looking for in a vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. These sessions will take place both in-person and virtually, and we will share details when they become available.
  • The DePaul community will have the opportunity to complete a survey to provide input regarding the search.
  • Our finalists will visit campus to participate in a university-wide open forum.
  • Our finalists will also meet with vetting groups of students, faculty, and staff. If you would like to be considered for one of the vetting groups, please contact DePaulVPOIDE@wittkieffer.com.

All updates and progress on the hiring of the new vice president for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity will be posted on the search website, which you can view here

DePaul community members may send questions, comments, or feedback regarding the OIDE vice presidential search to DePaulVPOIDE@wittkieffer.com

Thank you for everything you do to move our university forward as we strive to become a national leader in higher education.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Manuel
President
