Town Hall Video Recording

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

Welcome to the spring quarter! I hope all our students had an excellent spring break and wish you much success as classes begin.

At the end of the winter quarter on March 19, I hosted a virtual town hall, along with university leaders. Thank you to the more than 500 students, faculty and staff who attended. If you missed the live session or want to rewatch the presentations, you can view the recording here

At the Town Hall, we aimed to share a progress report on Designing DePaul, as well as other initiatives. University leaders shared updates on a number of topics, including DePaul’s digital transformation, academic affairs, sustainability, diversity and equity on campus, our comprehensive philanthropic campaign, and student health insurance.

We regret that we did not have enough time to answer all the thoughtful questions submitted and will be sure to make adjustments to the program for upcoming town halls. Please watch for future Newsline articles and leadership messages for more information about the topics that were top of mind for attendees.

If you haven’t already, please consider registering for one of the Digital Transformation Summits, which are taking place in person and virtually throughout April, starting next week. These summits are the first opportunity for the DePaul community to provide input into our digital transformation project, and I hope you will attend. Space is still available for the two in-person sessions but filling up quickly, so register soon.

Your ongoing collaboration across the community is driving Designing DePaul initiatives forward, and I look forward to our continued work and discussions as we reimagine DePaul for the modern moment.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Manuel
President
