Food insecurity is a significant issue among college students across our country. Given the mission of St. Vincent de Paul and that of the university, the question
"What must be done?" always comes to mind. In February 2020, a group of DePaul staff members from the Department of Housing, Dining & Student Centers established The Rosalie Rendu Student Pantry to provide a food resource for students in need. Since then, its offerings have expanded, which includes professional clothing for students to impress during interviews or on the job.
The pantry depends on the generous contributions from our DePaul Community, valued alumni, Lincoln Park neighbors, and foodservice partner, Chartwells. For those interested in donating, these are the items needed:

The pantry is behind a swipe-activated door for all enrolled students to access and purposely operates under an honor code and system of confidentiality.
