Michael Riley, MS

Mycall Akeem Riley is the LGBTQIA+ Resource Center coordinator within the Office of Multicultural Student Success at DePaul University. In his role Mycall’s main objective is to uplift and create a more inclusive world for those who hold marginalized genders and sexualities on DePaul’s campus and beyond.

Prior to this role, Mycall was the training and development coordinator with the Center for Identity, Inclusion and Social Change at DePaul. Throughout his work, Mycall strives to engage a more liberated framework for all.

Prior to DePaul, Mycall was the assistant director of the LGBT Resource Center and an assistant residence director with the Office of Residential Education at Syracuse University.

In the classroom Mycall has taught courses on intergroup dialogue, gender and sexuality, and facilitated countless presentations and workshops on topics ranging from more inclusion language, toxic masculinity and supporting Trans students in the classroom.

In his spare time, Mycall enjoys live music, thrift shopping, book clubs and dismantling hegemonic ways of being. ​
