Kimberly Everett began serving as the director of the Office of Multicultural Student Success on April 6, 2015. In this role, she is responsible for developing, implementing and assessing strategies that contribute to the persistence and graduation of low-income college students, first generation college students, and students of color.
Prior to her role as director of the Office of Multicultural Student Success, she founded the African American Resource Center at Northeastern Illinois University. Kimberly developed, implemented and oversaw an array of holistic retention initiatives. Additionally, Kimberly has past experience as an academic advisor within the TRiO program at Iowa State University.
Kim earned a PhD in educational leadership and MEd in student affairs administration, both from Iowa State University, and a BS in elementary education.
