Jessica Peterson, MA

Jessica Peterson has been with DePaul University since 2009.  In her current role as marketing communications specialist, Jessica supports the vice president and his cabinet with internal and external executive communications, supports the 12 departments in the division in developing communications and communications plans, and is responsible for the internal divisional newsletter, the divisional annual report, and liaising with University Marketing Communications at DePaul, among other things.

Before assuming her role as the marketing communications specialist, Jessica was the communications coordinator for the division of Student Affairs, and prior to that, she was a pediatric speech-language pathologist in schools and clinics in the Chicago area.

Jessica was honored with the Division of Student Affairs Collaboration Award and the Adult, Veteran and Commuter Student Affairs Outstanding Adult Student Service Award in 2016, the Spirit of DePaul Award in 2019 and the Lou O'Brien Spirit of Student Affairs Award in 2022.

Jessica earned an MA in organizational communication from DePaul, an MA in communication sciences and disorders from Northwestern University and her BA in communications from DePaul.  ​​
