University Counseling Services provides a
range of services intended to help currently enrolled DePaul students
remove barriers to academic and personal success by addressing
emotional, psychological and interpersonal concerns. University
Counseling Services is committed to a student-centered, developmental
approach. Its purpose is to assist students in defining and
accomplishing personal and academic goals.
Dr. Jeff Lanfear joined the DePaul
community in 1999 as a staff psychologist and became director of
University Counseling Services in 2003. Jeff is actively involved in the
Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors where
he serves as the co-chair of the 2014 Chicago conference committee.
Prior to coming to DePaul, Jeff served
in a variety of community mental health, employee assistance and
academic medical centers as a consulting psychologist.
Jeff received a PsyD from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and an MA in counseling from Loyola University Chicago.
