Mary Pat McKenna has worked at DePaul University since 2009 in the division of Student Affairs. In her role as a clinician in the Center for Student Disabilities, Mary Pat meets weekly with students in one-to-one sessions providing ongoing consultation and instruction to support each student’s effort to achieve success. Beyond her clinician work at CSD, Mary Pat has served as a staff professional for Chicago Quarter Explore, represented CSD at high school fairs and proctored final exams.
Before working at DePaul, Mary Pat supervised student teachers at Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to that, Mary Pat worked in the Chicago Public Schools in various roles including International Baccalaureate Program coordinator, counselor/case manager and special education teacher.
Mary Pat earned an MA in guidance and an MA in special education from Northeastern Illinois University. She earned a BA in education from the University of Dayton.
